According to Greek ports police, four migrants, including two children, drowned in the Aegean Sea on Tuesday, after they fallen from on board a boat carrying them to Greece off the coast of the Greek island of Lesbos.
Police said that Greek Coast patrols and FRONTEX patrols recovered the bodies of four people, while they previously managed to rescue four other immigrants, including a child were missing, while 42 migrants were on the same boat were rescued and transferred to the island.
Media sources reported that the boat, which was carrying migrants sailed from the coast of Turkey, has faced difficulties which led to the fall of eight passengers into the sea.
A few days ago, 21 migrants died after two boats were carrying refugees from Turkey to Greece sank at night east of the Aegean Sea, while hundreds were rescued amid continued influx of immigrants, especially Palestinians and Syrians.
