In southern Damascus; the rest of the residents of Al-Yarmouk camp complain of continuing water cut since (532) days, which is forcing them to go to the neighboring areas in order to get a few liters of drinking water. Activist reported that the residents depend, almost completely, on artesian wells despite the fact that most of them are contaminated with dirt and sediment, which led to the spread of many diseases, including diseases related to kidneys and public hygiene.
The Syrian authorities stopped providing running water to the camp through its network since 9 September 2014, causing aggravation of water crises and sanitation.
