The Palestinian Syrian Refugees in Germany Complain the Delays of the Residency Procedures

The Palestinian Syrian refugees, who managed to reach Germany, complain of the late issuance of residency which takes in some cases, more than eight months, the thing that reflected negatively on the refugees who are waiting for the reunion of families displaced between Syria, Lebanon, and Turkey. They also complain of economic burden especially with regard to securing living expenses for families who are waiting family reunion, which may take several months.

On the other hand, a large segment of the Palestinian refugees suffered from the consequences of leaving their fingerprints in Italy and other countries, which forced them to leave their fingerprints during their trip to northern Europe, where they are refused asylum requests. The refugee appoints a lawyer to pursue the case, and the refugee shall obtain residency after more than a year, however, in some cases the German states overlooks the fingerprints of Italy.

It is noteworthy that there is no official statistics on the number of Palestinian Syrian refugees in Germany, who are classified as stateless according to German laws, but Germany is committed according to the Geneva Convention, to facilitate the naturalization of stateless persons, based on the German citizenship law in 2000.
