Destroying around 70% of Der’aa, Handarat, and Al Sbeina and about 40% of Yarmouk Buildings

The Syrian Regime continues to target the Palestinian Refugee Camps in Syria with warplanes, tanks, rockets, explosive barrels, and mortar shells which led to a big destruction to properties and houses of residents, in addition to 3212 victims from the Palestinians of Syria, according to AGPS.

In the southern of Syria in Der’aa Governorate, the eyewitnesses estimated that more than 70% of Der’aa camp’s buildings are completely destroyed due to explosive barrels, warplanes raids and the Regular Army continues to cut water on the camp since 749 days which led to the displacement of thousands of refugees from the camp to the surrounding areas and to out of Syria.

In Damascus Suburb, the eyewitnesses’ estimates refer that more than 80% of Al Husaineya camp’s houses Simi-completely destroyed specially in the area between Mouath Bin Jabal mosque and the Camp’s oven” Al Akrad Oven” which forms the western entrance of the camp. The Regular Army and some loyal Palestinian factions still prevent the residents of Al Sbeina camp to return back to their houses for 896 days after they were forced to leave due to violent clashes between the Regular Army and the Opposition Armed Groups that ended with the complete control of the Regular Army over the camp.

In the northern of Syria, more than 70% of Handarat Camp’s buildings are partially and completely destroyed due to rockets and explosive barrels under the pretext of the availability of Armed Opposition Groups in the camp. The suffering of the Palestinian refugees who left Handarat continues since 1089 days respectively, where they left their houses due to the control of the Opposition over their camp.

In Yarmouk camp south of Damascus, about 40% of Yarmouk buildings were completely ad partially damaged due to the war machine, where eyewitnesses insured that the area which is located at the beginning of the camp is the most damaged areas because it faces the confrontations between the Regular Army and the Opposition Groups. In the same context, the Regular Army and the PFGC are still imposing a strict siege on the camp since 1042 days respectively, power cut for more than 1103 days, and water cut for 592 days respectively. It is worthy to mention that the other Palestinian Camps and compounds were exposed to explosive barrels, artillery shells, and rockets which caused mass damage to the houses and victims including women and children.
