Russian fighter aircrafts launched at predawn time on Tuesday a round of four airstrikes on Khan Al-Shih camp for Palestinian refugees in Damascus western suburbs. Two airstrikes hit the environs of Al-Salam Hospital, in the camp, and Al-Sa’id Street, along with the vicinities of the Old Market and of the High School. Two children sustained light wounds in the offensive and heavy material damage was inflicted on civilian homes.
Consequently, the humanitarian situation has gone from bad to worse in an area already grappling with a tough blockade imposed by the Syrian regime troops around the clock. As a result, civilians have run out of life-saving medicines and food items while heavy bombardment continues to shower the area nonstop.
