Syrian fighter aircrafts struck Khan Al-Sheih’s surrounding neighborhood of Al-Kousour with eight barrel bombs. The eastern environs of the camp were also hit with elephant missiles and machinegun fire. Reconnaissance drones kept hovering over the camp all the way through.
Meanwhile, violent clashes flared up in the area between Syrian government battalions and opposition outfits at the same time as reports have emerged on the attempts of the regime forces to move into al-Kousour quarter.
Khan Al-Sheih camp, in rural Damascus, has been blockaded by the Syrian government forces for 52 days, denying civilians’ access to basic food items, life-saving medicines, and children’s milk.
A couple of weeks earlier, AGPS declared Khan Al-Sheih Camp a blockaded shelter after government squads blocked the movement of 12,000 civilians, including 3,000 children, inside and out.
