The Palestinian-Syrian refugee Mohamed Al-Haj Ahmad was kidnapped by the Lebanese security forces from Beirut on December 17 on allegations of overstaying his visa.
The refugee’s mother appealed to the concerned human rights and legal bodies to urgently step in so as to renew her son’s visa and work out his legal status at the soonest time possible.
She added that the family does not have enough resources to cover the costs of visa renewal.
On September 19, 2016, the Lebanese security devices issued an order stipulating the reimbursement of 300,000 Lebanese Liras ($200) to grant the Palestinians of Syria a renewed six-month visa.
