AGPS on-the-spot reporters in Rural Damascus announced the launch of the reconstruction of the Al-Houda Mosque, in Khan Al-Sheih Camp, 50 days after it was struck by the Syrian and Russian warplanes.
The latest onslaught on the mosque occurred on November 13, 2016, when Russian fighter jets hit the mosque with thermobaric bombs, commonly known as vacuum bombs. The offensive killed two worshipers and left several others severely injured as they headed to the mosque to perform dawn prayers.
AGPS kept record of the death of 197 Palestinian residents of Khan Al-Sheih Camp due to war-related incidents in the beleaguered Syrian territories.
A tough blockade on the camp was lifted last month following a truce accord between the Syrian government troops and the opposition outfits.
