ISIS militias have tightened grip on Al-Rija area in Yarmouk, blocking civilians’ access out of and into the area via the ISIS-run Al-Rija checkpoint for the ninth day running.
Recently, ISIS ordered civilians to leave the Fatah Al-Sham-led areas in the shelter within 72 hours following an assault launched by Fatah Al-Sham on the ISIS-controlled checkpoint.
Residents of Yarmouk’s western neighborhoods of Al-Rija, Jadat, Ein Ghazal, Street 15, and Al-Thalatheen Street have been grappling with a twofold siege imposed by the government squads and ISIS militias.
