A prisoner swap deal was reportedly struck on Sunday between ISIS and Jaysh AlIslam at the Uruba-Beirut Street checkpoint in Yarmouk. Abu Firas AlShami, from Jaysh AlIslam, was released by ISIS in exchange for two fighters.
The first such swap deal occurred on January 18, 2016 and culminated in the release of 11 ISIS affiliates and 11 civilians sheltered in southern Damascus, including the journalist Qays AlShami.
