196 Palestinians Died Due to Blockade, Medical Neglect since Outburst of Syria Warfare

AGPS, London

AGPS documented the death of 196 Palestinian refugees, mostly in Yarmouk Camp, in Damascus, as a result of medical neglect and undernourishment inflicted by the tough blockade.

A tough cordon has been imposed on Yarmouk Camp since mid-2013 by the government forces and their war abettors. Water and power supplies to the camp have also been chronically cut off. Civilians have been further prevented from leaving the camp to fetch much-needed foodstuff and medicines.
