The Syrian regime continues taking custody of 30-year-old Palestinian university student, Maher Abd el-Hamed al-Aish, after being arrested from the examination room in his science college on 10th of June 2012.
Maher is a third-year student in the Department of Mathematics at the University of Damascus. The last time he was heard from was from one of the detainees released from the air intelligence (Mezzeh) in Ramadan 2014. He was born in Tel Hamis in Qamishli, north-east of Syria.
The Action Group receives many letters and information about Palestinian detainees that are documented despite the difficulties and Syrian regime's continued silence about the fate of the detainees and their names and places of detention. So far, the group has documented 1632 Palestinian detainees, including 103 women.
