The armed Syrian opposition factions in the town of Muzayrib, in south Syria, imposed a night curfew in an attempt to reduce the spread of kidnappings and theft in the town. The curfew started at 9pm, the day before yesterday and ended at 5am, the next morning.
A state of panic spread amongst the residents of the town, from the growing kidnap phenomenon, in exchange for a ransom. This has aggravated the suffering of the residents who are experiencing extremely harsh living conditions, especially as winter approaches.
