Kuwait supports UNRWA with 2 million American dollars

The Kuwaiti Ambassador to Jordan, “Doctor Hamd Al-Duaij” provided UNRWA with a donation of 2 million American dollars, as part of Kuwait's annual contribution to support the Agency.

"KUNA" news agency reported the Kuwaiti Ambassador’s confirmation of the keenness of the Kuwaiti leadership to support the Palestinians through various official and popular bodies.

The Ambassador also indicated that, “This voluntary contribution of Kuwait has been continuous for years, to support the activities and programs of UNRWA, in the human development and relief of the Palestinian refugees in the region, and to alleviate their humanitarian suffering.”

This comes in the midst of a severe financial crisis suffered by UNRWA, after the United States reduced its annual support provided to the Agency, which has negatively affected the Palestinian refugees’ lives in the countries of asylum.
