Syrian security members arrested Palestinian refugee “Mohammed Amer Azzam Mohammed Hassan Darwish,” known as “Abu Hazem,” on the 1st of April. He was born in 1985 and a resident of Al-Aedin camp in Homs. Darwish is a relief activist and a volunteer in Bissan Hospital in Al-Aedin camp in Homs and originates from the Shajara village in Palestine. The reason for his arrest remains unknown.
The Action Group has documented the names of 160 Palestinian refugees from Al-Aedin camp in Homs, who have been detained in the Syrian prisons. The total number of Palestinian refugees in the Syrian regime’s prisons since the beginning of the war has reached 1672 detainees, with unknown fates to this date.
