Over 17,000 Palestinian refugees from Syria in Jordan have been categorized as vulnerable due to their precarious legal status and exacerbated living conditions.
The majority of Palestinians from Syria entered Jordan through illegal routes as a result of the closed-door immigration policy pursued by the Jordanian authorities.
Several Palestinians who fled Syria for fear of being killed under shelling and the blockade have also been shorn of their right to legal stays, health care, and job opportunities in Jordan.
