Avaaz Organization has launched a campaign in solidarity with some 750 Palestinian families who were forcibly deported to northern Syria.
The campaign comes in response to the reluctance maintained by UNRWA, the Palestinian Authority, and human rights institutions regarding the calamitous humanitarian situation of displaced Palestinian families north of Syria.
A report passed on by AGPS, in partnership with the Palestinian Return Centre, to the United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHRC) in Geneva on September 19, 2018 as part of the 39th session, warned of the sweeps of forced deportation of Palestinians to northern Syria and the abject living conditions which they have been subjected to.
