Medics at a clinic in Khan Eshieh Camp for Palestinian refugees embarked on a campaign to vaccinate first-year students at the Biria and Deir Amr elementary schools, run by UNRWA.
A seminar was also held by a dentist working at the clinic to boost children’s and parents’ awareness about tooth decay and ways to prevent dental cavities.
Khan Eshieh students used to attend classes at six schools established by UNRWA in the area, including two schools for boys, two for girls, and two preparatory schools. Another government-run school for Syrian nationals, along with a secondary school and kindergartens, had also been operative in the area.
