A UNRWA delegation, led by regional director Salim AlSheikh Kacem, popped in Daraa Camp for Palestinian refugees, south of Syria, and gave pledges to work on rehabilitating vital facilities in the area.
The delegation toured residential alleyways and took note of the residents’ demands. Students at alternative schools called on the agency to enhance educational services and rehabilitate UNRWA schools and institutions.
Sometime earlier, Daraa governor said, following a field visit he paid to Daraa city on October 30, that the camp has been included in a rehabilitation plan drafted by the Syrian authorities to reconstruct re-captured zones.
