Family of Cancer-Stricken Palestinian Girl Appeal for Urgent Aid

The family of the three-year-old Palestinian child from Syria Maria Abu Azarah, taking shelter in Ein AlHilweh Camp, south of Lebanon, after they were deported from Yarmouk Camp, appealed to all human rights institutions to cover fees for the treatment of their daughter, diagnosed with blood cancer.

Medics said Maria currently needs four chemical doses weekly.  At a later stage, at least one chemical dose is needed for a period of two years.

UNRWA shelled out 50% of the treatment coasts. The agency paid 50,000 Lebanese Pounds for chemical doses. The family needs another 100,000 Lebanese Pounds for chemical doses. A dose is worth $66.

Her family continues to sound distress signals, saying their daughter has become on the verge of death.
