Palestinian Refugees Gripped with Dire Conditions North of Syria

Palestinian refugees who have been displaced from Damascus and its suburbs to the northern Syrian province of Idlib appealed to UNRWA to take urgent action as regards their tragic situation.

The refugees urged UNRWA to provide them with urgent medical assistance and vital services.

During the last quarter of 2016, dozens of Palestinian families had been deported from their shelters in Khan AlSheih Camp to Idlib, following a reconciliation accord struck between the Syrian government and the opposition outfits. Thousands of others had been deported from the Palestinian refugee camps of Yarmouk, AlSabina, AlHussainiya, and Handarat.
