Palestinian activist Fatima Jabeur has launched a campaign to raise funds for displaced Palestinians and Syrians who have been deported from southern Damascus to Deir Ballout Camp in Afrin, north of Syria.
The move saw the day in response to the lack of relief assistance and humanitarian aid by the international institutions and such concerned bodies as the Palestine Liberation Organization, UNRWA, and the Palestinian factions.
Jabeur said the campaign has been launched days after a Palestinian child died on the doorsteps of a hospital in Lebanon and as refugee tents north of Syria have been ruined by windstorms and water floods in the poorly-equipped camps of Deir Ballout and AlMuhammadiya.
The activists appealed to all Palestinians oversees to lend a hand to the refugees and called for the establishment of committees to raise much-needed funds and work on dispatching them to the displaced refugees north of Syria.
