Palestinian Refugee Mootaz Mohamed Fayad Released from Turkish Detention Center

The Turkish authorities released, on Thursday, December 27, the Palestinian refugee Mootaz Muhammad Fayad, formerly sheltered in Yarmouk Camp.

The Turkish police summoned Mootaz to questioning on October 17, 2018. He was arrested right as he turned himself in for interrogation.

His wife appealed to all concerned human rights institutions, political factions, and the Palestine Embassy to take urgent action in order to pressurize the Turkish authorities to release her husband before it is too late.

Recently, a number of Palestinian refugees have been detained by the Turkish authorities over charges of illegal entry into the Turkish territories and for their failure to obtain the kimlik visa.
