Palestinian and Syrian officials discussed, during a meeting convened a few days earlier, the progress of reconstruction initiatives in Yarmouk Camp for Palestinian refugees. Damascus governor Adel AlAlabi, Palestine’s Ambassador in Damascus Mahmoud AlKhalidi, and members of the committee overseeing debris-clearance in Yarmouk Camp were in attendance.
The meeting culminated in an agreement to carry out rubble-clearance in Yarmouk alleyways and implement the rehabilitation plan, which was drafted a few years ago.
