Sidon-Based Academy Announces Launch of Free Courses

Lebanon Academy for Training and Development, in the southern Lebanese city of Sidon, announced the launch of free training courses for youths aged between 15 and 24. Palestinian refugees from Syria will reportedly benefit from the initiative.

Courses in the English language, life skills, photography, editing, home wiring, cooling and air conditioning, computer and electronic maintenance, among other skills, will be provided as part of the move.

The concerned trainees should show up at the academy on Monday 08:30 a.m. The afternoon shift kick-starts at 03:30 p.m.

Aligned with the mandate of the Lebanon Policy Agenda /Economic Vision 2030, the Lebanon Academy’s education and training programs seek to provide fresh graduates, drop outs and professionals with the requisite knowledge and skills to compete in the 21st century job market. In parallel, the Academy’s strategic initiatives and research activities seek to contribute to the creation of a healthy, persified private sector, NGO’s and a sustainable knowledge-based economy within southern Lebanon.
