UNRWA’s Director of Programs, Syria Field Office, Amanya Michael Ebye, and member of the Fatah Central Committee, Samir AlRefa’i discussed the situation of Palestinian refugees in war-torn Syrian and the vital role paid by the UN refugee agency to assuage the calamitous condition endured in Yarmouk Camp, among other Palestinian refugee camps.
In a meeting held a couple of day earlier, both sides discussed UNRWA’s projected measures to reconstruct its destroyed premises in Yarmouk Camp and rehabilitate educational facilities.
AlRefai briefed the UNRWA official about the steps made by Fatah Movement to boost support for the UN agency and garner further funds so as to reconstruct Yarmouk’s ruined infrastructure and facilities, most notably UNRWA schools, clinics, and a Youth Development Center, along with relief offices and aid distribution centers.
