5 Palestinian Refugees Tortured to Death in Syrian Jails in February

AGPS documented the death of five Palestinian refugees under torture in Syrian state prisons in February 2019.

The casualties are: Mohamed Fuad Atiyeh and Khaled Samara, both residents of Yarmouk Camp, along with Faris Balsha and his son Mohamed who were pronounced dead after they had been kept in jail for over five years. The father and his son were arrested at the Kablat checkpoint on March 12, 2014. Another Palestinian refugee born in 1990 was also tortured to death in the Sednaya military prison, north of Damascus, where he had been held for over three years. AGPS has kept his name secret over security concerns.
