Palestinian Volunteers Engaged in Relief Mission in Deir Ballout Camp

Members of the Bab AlShams volunteer group in northern Syria have been engaged in the cleaning campaign kick-started some three months earlier in Deir Ballout Camp, where dozens of families displaced from Yarmouk Camp and other southern Damascus zones have sought shelter.

Psychological support activities and leisure events have also been occasionally held by the group in an attempt to assuage the calamitous conditions endured by displaced families and children north of Syria.

Since November 2018, a group of Palestinian youths volunteered for the relief mission.

AGPS has frequently sounded the alarm over the situation of the Palestinian refugees deported to northern Syria and the abject living conditions they have been enduring in an area deemed as the most tension-stricken region across the Syrian territories.

The displaced families continue, meanwhile, to lash out at the apathy maintained by UNRWA, the Syrian authorities, and the Palestine Liberation Organization, among other concerned bodies, regarding the tragic situation wrought on the area.

AGPS calls for serious measures by all concerned parties in order to secure the displaced families’ right to physical and moral protection and provide them with much-needed humanitarian aids.
