A couple of days earlier, a ceremony was held at Damascus Faculty of Science to honor outstanding Palestinian students.
Teaching staff, NGOs, and parents were in attendance. A video enumerating the achievements of Palestinian youths was put on display at the ceremony. Speeches were also delivered as part of the event in an attempt to mobilize support for the Palestinian cause and motivate youths to speak up for Palestinians’ infringed rights.
