Meals Handed Over to Palestinian Children from Syria in Sidon

AlBer Association in Daraa handed over fast-breaking (iftar) meals to displaced families in Daraa Camp for Palestinian refugees, south of Syria.

60 rice meals and 35 bread bundles were distributed to widowed women and breadwinners, particularly those with disabilities.

Daraa Camp for Palestinian refugees has been grappling with abject conditions as a result of the fallouts wrought by the military operation launched by the Syrian government forces in mid-June 2018 using internationally-prohibited weapons in an attempt to recapture the area.

A mass exodus from Daraa Camp occurred as a result of the deadly shelling rocking the area. Government onslaughts on the camp using missiles and explosive barrels led to the destruction of 80% of civilian buildings and facilities.

Along the same line, an iftar (fast-breaking) banquet was held on Wednesday for Palestinian children from Syria in the southern Lebanese city of Sidon.

62 children, mostly orphans, joined the charity meal, which was donated by an anonymous benefactor.
