Insecticide Sprayed in Jaramana Camp for Palestinian Refugees

The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA), in partnership with the Social Development Committee in Jaramana Camp for Palestinian refugees, launched a campaign to spray insecticides across residential alleyways in the camp.

Residents of Jaramana Camp for Palestinian refugees in Rif Dimashq continue to rail against the poor sanitation networks and improper sewage disposal as a result of frequent blackouts and maintenance works in the area.

Palestinian refugees have often set off alarm bells over the acute water crisis, saying that, as a result of the dearth in drinking water, they have been forced to purchase expensive tanks.

Over recent years, residents of Jaramana Camp have launched cries for help over the dire socio-economic conditions, high unemployment rates, poor infrastructure, steep rental fees, and chronic water crisis rocking the area.
