Son of Fatah Leader Enduring Mysterious fate in Syrian Gov’t Jail

Palestinian refugee Mohamed Hasan Abu Shanar has been enduring a mysterious fate in Syrian government prisons since October 27, 2012.

The detainee, a resident of AlTadhamun neighborhood in Damascus and the father of three children, is the son of slain Hasan Abu Shanar, a prominent Fatah leader.

AGPS documented the secret incarceration of 1,758 Palestinian refugees in Syrian state prisons, among them women, children, and elderly civilians.
