Free Medical Day Held in Syria’s Daraa Camp for Palestinian Refugees

Free checks-ups were carried out by AlBirr Charity in Daraa Camp for Palestinian refugees as part of a medical day staged by a group of pediatricians, orthopedists, gynecologists, and general practitioners.

Dozens of patients reportedly received free medical prescriptions and medicines.

Daraa Camp for Palestinian refugees has been grappling with abject conditions as a result of the military operation launched by the Syrian government forces in mid-June 2018 using internationally-prohibited weapons, in an attempt to recapture the area. 80% of civilian homes and property were destroyed.

Soon after the Syrian government recaptured the camp, civilians appealed to the Palestinian Authority, Palestine Liberation Organization, and UNRWA to urgently step in and work on securing life-saving medicines and foodstuff urgently needed in the area.
