Three Palestinian families survived air raids launched by the Syrian government forces on Friday on AlKousour neighborhood, in Idlib, north of Syria.
Speaking with AGPS, survivor Mohamed Udai said that at 09:00 a.m. four missiles hit his home and the adjacent building while he was about to go to work. His expectant wife was sleeping. The building started to collapse, and the “traumatized” wife was thrown several meters away from her bed.
“I did not believe for a while that we would survive”, said the husband, adding that two Palestinian families, including an elderly man and his wife, lost all of their belongings and furniture.
According to the Commission of Palestinians of Syria for Relief and Development, some 225 families displaced from Yarmouk and southern Damascus last year have been taking refuge in Idlib province.
Palestinian families sheltered in Idlib continue to sound distress signals over the dire humanitarian situation they have been enduring owing to the acute dearth in financial resources, relief aids, and vital services.
Over recent months, air raids have been carried out by the Syrian and Russian forces on a quasi-daily basis on the area, leaving dozens of civilians dead or wounded.
