The Regular Army Prevents the Residents of Sbeina Camp to Return to their Homes

The Regular Army and the Palestinian factions still prevent the residents of Al Sbeina camp to return back to their houses for 526 days. The residents were forced to leave due to violent clashes between the Opposition and the Regular Army which ended with the full control of the Regular Army over the camp. Estimates refer to that about 80% of the buildings and houses are partially damaged specially in the area between Moath Bin Jabal mosque and the camp’s oven which is known as the Kurdish Oven and forms the western entrance of the camp. The residents left their houses to the neighboring towns and camps to enter a new suffering that didn’t stop till leaving their houses but increased to include all life aspects which turned to tragedy due to the difficult economic situation, the spread of unemployment and the weak financial resources.

Under the consequences of war and the bad economic situation, many of the camp’s residents resorted to out of Syria, the UNRWA estimates refer to that the refugees percentage of refugees of Al Sbeina camp  in Lebanon reached about 8.21% of the total number of the refugees. The number of refugees in Lebanon is about 50000 refugees.
