Mosques in AlSabina camp for Palestinian refugees have started unlocking their doors before worshipers, after staff and volunteers have been spotted disinfecting mosque furniture.
The move comes following a decision by the Syrian Religious Affairs Ministry to reopen mosques and allow Muslim worshipers to perform Friday prayers in congregation. The other daily prayers will be kept momentarily suspended to avoid further contaminations.
Worshipers are asked to wear masks, wash their hands before getting into the mosque, and to keep a safety distance. The prayer is to last for no more than 10 minutes.
