The Palestinian Red Crescent in cooperation with the Danish Red Cross distributed on June 17 detergents and disinfectants to the residents of Khan Dannun camp for Palestinian refugees in Rif Dimashq. The move makes parts of ongoing measure to help curtail the spread of coronavirus.

Over the past few years, the situation in Khan Dannun Camp has been characterized by severe economic hardships inflicted by the nine-year warfare in Syria. The situation is made worse by the high rates of unemployment and the lack of access to the local labor market along with the absence of humanitarian assistance and the lockdown measures imposed as part of anti- coronavirus responses.
