A convoy led by the military commander of Liwaa AlQuds armed group, affiliated with the Syrian regime, was targeted by an explosive device during a tour held in the northern Syrian province of Idlib.
Commander Mohamed AlSa’id survived the assassination attempt. A car driving in the forefront went off, leaving a so-called Ibrahim AlTurk, from AlNeirab camp for Palestinian refugees, dead. Four other people were injured.
Over recent weeks, over 15 members of Liwaa AlQuds have been pronounced dead in bloody shootouts with ISIS militias in the Syrian desert, in Hama’s eastern corners, and in AlReqa’s western suburbs.
