The Palestine Liberation Army (PLA) has mourned the death of Mohamed Tareq AlKhadraa, PLA’s chief of staff, at the age of 89.
Palestinian sources said AlKhadraa died of coronavirus which he contracted in Damascus, where he will also be buried. He breathed his last at Tishreen military hospital.
Major General Tareq AlKhadra had survived an assassination attempt in 2015 in Damascus.
At the same time, PLA’s brigadier general Mohamed Shahada Othman succumbed to coronavirus in Damascus.
Mohamed’s son, Osama, died in 2014 as he fought alongside the Syrian government forces in Rif Dimashq.
