Palestinians of Syria and the UN Security Council Initiative.

The UN Security Council held an emergency session to discuss the recent developments suffered by the Yarmouk refugee camp from the first of April 2015, and led to ISIS breaking into the camp. The closed session that was held by the Council on Monday evening 04.20.2015, concluded three items: providing assistance to civilians who are unable or unwilling to leave the camp, helping those who want to "move temporarily" from the camp in accordance with international humanitarian law and in light of suitable guarantees that would allow them to do so safely and freely, and helping the camp's residents who have already fled. However, the question is about the reason for the long delay in the convening of the Security Council, and the output of the emergency meeting, which does not rise to the need of Palestinian refugees from Syria after more than four years of the events there .. !

Despite of the importance of the three items and its paragraphs, the items had been exclusively allocated to talk about the Yarmouk camp, ignoring the tragic situation for more than 560,000 registered Palestinian refugees, according to UNRWA statistics, and what they are exposed to second Nakba both at the level of displacement inside Syrian or those who remained in the camps, or those who were forced to escape to the outside Syria, or the need and importance of advocacy for coordination between the "UNRWA" and the High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) with respect to the situation of Palestinian refugees fleeing to the outside areas of UNRWA operations, especially Egypt, which hosts About four thousand refugees, or call upon the Arab and Islamic countries hosting displaced Palestinians from Syria to improve the living conditions and legal conditions, or urged the League of Arab States and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation to the need to follow-up and take responsibility, or search for tens of thousands missing of Palestinian refugees .., or call to provide refugees physical protection and not just by calling for the provision of humanitarian aid on the importance ..!

The Council called for the protection of refugees in Yarmouk only, and demand for all parties concerned to "comply with their obligations under international humanitarian law or international human rights and refugee law and cease all attacks against civilians, including aerial bombardments, condemning all acts of terrorism committed in the camp, and urged the organization State and Al-Nusra Front and all terrorist organizations listed on the list of the Security Council to withdraw from Yarmouk on the spot, and the immediate implementation of the related Security Council resolutions including, 2139, 2165, and 2191, and compatible with international humanitarian law.

During the session , the absence of any mechanism for implementing the three items were remarkably absent, making them vulnerable to remain forgotten, like a lot of international resolutions related to the Palestinian cause in general, and the issue of refugees and the right of return, in particular. Moreover, in parallel the Palestinians of Syria are still exposed to targeting.. . It seems that to expedite to hold the Council is just for submitting one paper to prove to the international community that the United Nations face the terrorist organizations - as described - wherever they exist; the value of the three items are in their implementation so as to preserve the human and political refugees rights ……. not only to be formulated on papers!...
