Palestinian Family Appeals for Information over Forcibly Disappeared Relative in Syria

Family of Palestinian refugee from Syria Mohamed Abdul Aziz Akilah, born in 1993, has appealed to the international humanitarian and human rights organizations to work on disclosing the fate of their son who has been gone missing in an opposition-held zone for the third consecutive month.

Mohamed’s brother told AGPS that the family has lost contact with him since August 23, 2020, as he tried to enter the Turkish territories.

The brother added that Mohamed was arrested by the Free Syrian Army in Jarablus on the Syrian-Turkish borders. His condition and whereabouts have been shrouded in mystery.
