Random Shelling at Yarmouk, and Increased Suffering of the Besieged People of Yarmouk

Arbitrary bombing with mortar shells and rockets targeted the Yarmouk camp yesterday. The bombing targeted many streets and lanes at Yarmouk which resulted in mass material damages in the buildings, and no news about casualties amongst civilians. One of the shells caused damages and fires to some of the tombs at Al Shohadaa cemetery

In terms of living aspect, the besieged people are suffering of difficulties to secure water after the working organizations which were securing water to the residents have left the camp to Yelda. The residents also suffer of accumulation of tons of solid waste due to the lack of any work mechanisms, and the weak presence of organizations, where they left to Yelda after the invasion of ISIS to Yarmouk camp.

The Regular Army and the PFGC are imposing a siege on the camp for about 693 days respectively. The camp also suffers of power cut for more than 763 days, and water cut for about 253 days respectively, where the siege victims' number raised to 177 victims.
