Palestinian Refugees Fear Unabated Coronavirus Outbreak in Southern Syria

Palestinian refugees sheltered in Syria’s AlMuzeireeb town have sounded distress signals due to the swift propagation of COVID-19 in the area.

The refugees said the area has almost run out of oxygen cylinders and that there are almost no vacant beds in local health centres.

They denounced the absence of anti-coronavirus measures and the violation of precautionary protocols.

Data by the Syrian Health Ministry indicates that over the past 24 hours, 73 new coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Deraa, south of Syria.
