Representatives of the Palestinian refugee community in Turkey met with the director of the Migration Directorate in Istanbul Bayram Yalenso to discuss the situation of Palestinians in Turkey.
The two sides underscored the dire humanitarian situation endured by Palestinian refugees in Turkey where they have been denied the right to obtain legal visas.
Yalenso said the Turkish authorities will no longer accept applications for visas by Palestinian refugees in Fatih and Esenyurt.
Palestinian refugees from Syria slammed the visit which they dubbed futile as it did not tackle the legal hurdles they have been facing in Turkey.
