Director of UNRWA operations in Aleppo Amanya Michael Ebye met with CSOs and representatives of the General Authority for Palestinian Arab Refugees (GAPAR) in Aleppo to discuss the humanitarian situation in AlNeirab Camp for Palestinian refugees.
The meeting discussed the possibility of distributing cash aid of 112,500 Syrian pounds to the most vulnerable families and 82,500 to ordinary cases along with food baskets with the start of the new year.
During the meeting, CSOs called for including all registered families in fuel aid after GAPAR Genera-Director Kasem Husain said only the most vulnerable families will benefit from fuel supplies.
Calls were also made for enhancing the working conditions of UNRWA day labourers.
The parties further discussed ways to reconstruct the school and clinic in Hindarat Camp, in Aleppo, and rehabilitate habitable houses after providing owners with cash aid to that end.
