Dozens of residents of Khan Dannun Camp for Palestinian refugees joined a march staged in solidarity with Palestinians held behind Israeli prison bars.
The marchers spoke up against Israeli human rights abuses and called for an end to administrative detention (imprisonment with neither charge nor trial).
According to prisoners’ rights group Addameer, there are currently 4,650 Palestinians held in Israeli jails in Israel and the occupied territories.
Palestinians view them as political prisoners attempting to end Israel’s illegal occupation.
