A delegation of the Palestine Commission for Relief and Development met on February 17 with representatives of the Association of Displaced Palestinians in Northern Syria.
The two parties discussed the dire situation endured by Palestinian refugee communities in northern Syria displacement camps and stressed the need to cooperate together in order to alleviate the calamitous condition faced in the area, speak up for Palestinian refugees’ rights, and mobilize support for underprivileged families.
According to data by the Commission of Palestinians of Syria for Relief and Development, as many as 1,488 Palestinian families have been sheltered in the northern Syrian regions of Idlib, Efrin, and Aleppo’s suburbs. The largest number of families are taking refuge in Idlib.
