Residents of Khan Dannun Camp for Palestinian refugees, in Rif Dimashq, said the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) has been delivering cash grants on inequitable grounds.
According to the refugees, the majority of vulnerable families have not received cash aid distributed by the organization while families affiliated with the PLO and UNRWA have obtained cash aid through the Real Estate Bank of Syria.
The protracted conflict has devastated human security and left 91 per cent of the 438,000 Palestine refugees estimated to remain in the country in absolute poverty and 40 per cent displaced.
