Palestine Embassy Adjusts Passport Issuance Fees

The Palestine Embassy said the amount required for passport issuance and renewal procedures is 50,000 Syrian pounds, along with 500 SP to be paid to the bank.

The embassy said concerned persons should submit an application for a Palestinian passport and upload the required papers on the embassy’s website. Sometime later, the applicant should show up at the embassy headquarters to present the required documents, including the bank payment receipt within a period of no more than 48 hours.

The embassy said the paid fees cover charges for Palestinian Authority passports and not the Palestinian travel document issued by the Syrian government.

The Syrian and Palestinian passports have been ranked by Henley Passport as the weakest passports during the first quarter of 2022.

The Palestinian passport is ranked 105th globally. Palestinians without visas are only allowed to enter 35 countries, including Sri Lanka, Dominica, Singapore, and the Seychelles. Holders of Palestinian passports should receive a visa to enter 194 countries.
