Artillery Shelling And Starvation Dominates the Yarmouk Camp

With the continued siege imposed by the regular army and groups of the Popular Front - General Command of the Yarmouk Palestinian refugee camp in Damascus, under the stop of entering relief aid for almost three weeks, which has led to lack of supplies, medicines and medical staff to follow up the medical condition, and with electricity and water cut in addition to the prevention of entering the needed fuel and medical equipment to operate the only remain hospital, and prevent the exit and the return of the resident of the camp, all of this bringing the possibility of the return of starvation to the besieged camp. The starvation has led to the death of  157 refugees due to malnutrition and medical care shortage, coincided with water cuts for 111 day respectively, which led to many diseases related to lack of water, most  notably kidney and skin disease.

In a related context, shelling targeted the 30 Street at the camp and Al Hajar Al Aswad area coincided with violent clashes at the points of contact in the camp between the Syrian regular army alongside with the Palestinian groups loyal to it and the Syrian armed opposition groups.
